SHAH ALAM, Sept 11 — A total of 711 consumers filed a suit, claiming compensation of almost RM500,000 from three parties including Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Abdul Khalid Ibrahim over not receiving free water under a scheme implemented by the state government.
The other defendants named by the plaintiffs in their suit are the Selangor government and Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas).
The plaintiffs, all residents of Shah Alam, filed their suit at the registrar's office of the High Court here at 9.30am through Messrs. Kamarudin & Partners.
Lawyer Kamarudin Ahmad when met by reporters after that, said the suit document would he handed to all the defendants within a week. — Bernama
