Malaysians in RUSSIAN road tragedy: Fear became a reality when sister did not reply SMS

M'sians in RUSSIAN road tragedy: Fear became a reality when sister did not reply SMS
PUTRAJAYA- The fear of Adzlin Dimyati, 27, that something bad had befallen her third sibling Adzreen, 22, after her SMS was not answered became a reality after she was informed that her sister had died in an accident at 11pm local time in Moscow yesterday.
"I had sent a SMS to Adzreen to enquire if she had arrived in Russia or not but my SMS was never answered.
"Normally, she (Adzreen) would contact the family as soon as she arrived there but this time she did not inform us at all. I also felt strange when she
did not answer my SMS asking her whether she had arrived in Russia or not.
"This morning, I received a SMS from my elder brother who informed me that my third sister had died in an accident, after my brother was contacted by the
Public Service Department (JPA) at about 9am Malaysian time( Malaysia is four hours ahead of Moscow)," she said when met at her house at Precinct 9, here, tonight.
Adzreen, a fifth year student at the Nishny Novgorod State Medical Academy who had just returned to Russia to continue her studies after a three-month
holiday here, died on the way from Moscow Airport to Vladimirskaya.
Adzlin said the whole family was shocked and saddened with Adzreen's demise especially her mother Aini Abaas, 52, and Adzreen's twin sister Adzwin, 22, who is studying medicine in Poland.
"The whole family is still shocked with Adzreen' death because it was only yesterday that we sent her off at the airport.
"During her three months holiday here, she did not show any changes. The whole family was happy she could celebrate Aidilfitri with us this year,"
she said.
Adzlin said both her twin sisters had never been separated prior to this because they went to Tengku Kurshiah College, Seremban, studied in the same
class and continued their studies at A-levels at the same place.
"Nevertheless, they were apart for the first time when continuing their studies at university level when Adzwin continued her studies in medicine in
Poland.
The media today reported that Adzreen, who was on her way to Vladimirskaya with six other Malaysian student friends, died on the way to the
hospital while one of them, Hanisah Muhd Shah, died at the scene.
The other five are being treated at a hospital at Vladimirskaya.
