TEE YONG'S TALAM DEBATE: Pakatan MPs and Faekah to attend TONIGHT

TEE YONG'S TALAM DEBATE: Pakatan MPs and Faekah to attend TONIGHT
Three Pakata Rakyat MPs and the political secretary to the Selangor Mentri Besar will attend the debate with MCA MP for Labis Chua Tee Yong tonight. MCA Bandar Tun Razak, the organizer, had issued notice of the debate, its venue and timing the night before.
Tee Yong, the son of MCA president Chua Soi Lek, has been at the forefront of a slew of accusations that the Selangor state government had abused its power and mis-spent public funds in restructuring the debt of troubled property firm Talam Corp Bhd.
Despite the all-clear from independent auditor KPMG, Tee Yong has insisted his allegations were spot on. He has also dismissed a challenge from MP for PJ Utara Tony Pua to debate. However, he recently challenged Khalid Ibrahim, Selangor's chief minister, to debate instead.
Tee Yong did not give reasons for his actions but he has been accused of using the Khalid challenge to turn away accusations that he feared meeting Tony.
Protocol makes it unlikely that Khalid, as the Selangor Mentri Besar, would accept the challenge from Tee Yong, who does not hold any elected position in the MCA.
'Puppy' politician
Indeed, Faekah Husin, who is Khalid's political secretary and will be attending tonight's event, has said as much. She has intimated Khalid has no time for Tee Yong, who is regarded as a 'puppy' politician for his off-tangent comments and inaccurate statements.
Apart from Faekah, Tony, Dzulkefly Ahmad and William Leong will be attending the 8.00pm event at Pusat Belia Antarabangsa, Jalan Yaakop Latif. Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur (Near to HUKM Cheras).
Dzulkefly is the PAS MP for Kuala Selangor and William is the PKR MP for Selayang.
"The biggest joke will be if Tee Yong does not show up. There are 4 Pakatan reps for him to choose to debate with. If he is gung-ho, he can take them all at one go. Otherwise, he can go for one on one. Take and choose the one he feels least scared of!" said a PKR stalwart who will be part of the Pakatan contingent tonight.
