Petaling Jaya – A young lady suspected to be the mother of the baby that was thrown from Blok 1, Desa Mentar and found dead few days ago is under remand until 23 September to assist in the investigation.
OCPD Petaling Jaya, Assistant Commissioner Arjunaidi Mohamed informed that the woman aged 21 years of agehas been detained from her home and it is believed that she had delivered a baby girl.
It is further informed that she works as a Production Operator at a factory and lives with her parents.
“Initial investigation reveal that she is unmarried and her family does not know that she was pregnant".
“It is believed that the child was still alive when thrown but died due to injuries in the head due to the fall".
It was disclosed that the umbilical cord was still intact and was thrown from the kitchen at the 3rd floor of the suspect's flat.
The case is investigated under intention to kill (murder).
The incident became know at 11 am two days ago when a resident was shocked to see a dead baby while trying to repair his motorcycle at the parking lot at the apartment.
The residents did realise something was thrown but never expected it to be a baby girl that was thrown out.
The dead baby girl's body has been sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for a post-moterm to establish the motive.
